We are lucky to live in such a beautiful rural area, with stunning countryside, open spaces and waterways right on our doorstep. However, with the hot, dry weather we've been experiencing, there are some significant seasonal dangers that we can all help prevent.

🔥 Wildfire Risk is High

Dry grass, crops and hedgerows can ignite and spread rapidly, causing serious damage to wildlife, property and our local countryside.
Please help by:
❌ Not lighting bonfires during dry conditions
❌ Not discarding cigarettes or matches on the ground
❌ Not using BBQs close to dry grass or vegetation
❌ Not leaving litter behind
❌ Not being a general idiot with fire

Remember – it only takes one spark.

💧 Open Water Can Be Deadly

Rivers, lakes and other open water may look inviting in the heat, but they can be far more dangerous than they appear.
⚠️ Cold water shock can affect anyone, even strong swimmers
⚠️ Hidden currents, weeds and underwater hazards can be deadly
⚠️ Children should always be closely supervised near water

Let's all do our bit to keep ourselves, our families and our community safe this summer.
